For the third year in a row, SA Debate earned the #1 Policy Debate Sweepstakes ranking in the Golden Gate Speech Association (GGSA) based on the team's cumulative success at all the league debates over the course of the year. The GGSA league comprises much of northern California and the Bay Area counties of Sonoma, Napa, Marin, San Francisco, Alameda, and Contra Costa. SA competes with all schools of all sizes in the league and in fact, the #2 and #3 schools in the policy debate rankings each have about three thousand students.

Additionally, SA qualified three teams to represent the GGSA at the State Championship Tournament in April. Maya Nichols '18 and Gibran Hassan '19, Claire Stephens '19 and Hannah Nabavi '20, and Zoe Price '21 and Adri Kornfein '21. Isabelle Elder '19 and Olivia Synek '19 are the first alternates.
