Debate Practices
We are trying a new practice schedule for debate this year; it is a "cafeteria" style approach where the goal is that each debater aims for 2 practices per week but should plan to attend at least 1 practice per week.
Practice options are:
A) Exploratory (M/W) during school hours, with Laila (Policy focused, some Parli)
B) Tuesday evenings 6:30 to 8:30 pm with Assistant Coach, Kevin Steeper. Students should arrive having already eaten dinner and will work for the 2 hours primarily on Parli debate.
C) Thursday immediately after school 3:30 to 4:30 pm with Laila (Policy and Parli)
D) Certain Saturdays with Laila and Assistant Policy coaches from UC Berkeley (Policy focused). These dates/times will be posted on mySA. Typically we will meet from 10 am to 1 pm.
