Athletics Facilities Upgrades

This week, a group of parents visited campus to hear some updates about the planned improvements to our athletics facilities this year. Head of School Tucker Foehl, Director of Athletics Chris Ziemer, and Director of Advancement Kim Eber shared news about the project, along with artist renderings of the new facilities.

Four tennis courts will be constructed to the south of Ziemer Field, allowing our thriving tennis program to practice and compete at home, as well as new opportunities for our students to engage in tennis and pickleball through our Exploratories program, lunch, and after school. There will also be a paved sport court area to allow for more opportunities to play hoops and along with baseball facilities: two batting cages and pitching mounds for our baseball team. Our baseball coach, Kyle Hellums, explained that these new facilities, coupled with our field, will allow the team to practice on campus 75% of the time. Fans will also appreciate the new restrooms and concession stand in the area currently used for overflow parking and new built in seating along Chris Ziemer field.

These upgrades are exciting for student-athletes and for the many members of our community who deeply believe in the future of our athletic program. The time feels right to invest in the Coyotes! But we need your support to complete these projects. You can be a part of the future of SA athletics! Please reach out to Kim Eber, Director of Advancement, to make a gift or to hear more about the vision for our sports facilities.
