Leslie Taylor

Leslie Taylor grew up on Cape Cod and moved to California in 1996. A lifelong rider, Leslie is the owner of Melody Oak Farm LLC, an equestrian boarding and training facility in Petaluma. Leslie holds a degree in English Literature and comes to SA's board with a generational commiitment to the independent school model.

Leslie hails from a family of independent school graduates and educators including her grandfather who was the Head of St. Andrews School in Delaware from 1958-1976, bringing both integration and coeducation to that campus. Leslie's husband Craig was a special education teacher first at Pinole Middle School and then Terra Linda High School for 20 years.
SA is Leslie's 3rd opportunity to serve on a school Board of Trustees. She served on the W.H. Pepper Preschool Board as secretary from 2014-2017. She has been serving on The Spring Hill School Board since 2021.

Leslie's eldest daughter Adeline ('24) is currently attending Syracuse University and Lorelei ('27) is a student at SA.

There is nothing more impactful that a parent can provide to a child than the very best education. To watch students at SA strive academically while also participating in a community that encourages them to be exceptional humans is a privilege. I look forward to being a part of Sonoma Academy's growth and sustainability.
