Guys & Dolls

Guys and Dolls

May 16 through May 20 in the Performing Arts Center

One of the most beloved classics of Broadway’s Golden Age, Guys and Dolls is considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy, and it’s the perfect show to kick off a new era of theater at Sonoma Academy! Join us for the first theater production in the new Community & Performing Arts Center, May 16 through May 19!

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls follows gambler Nathan Detroit as he tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town. Meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for fourteen years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, and Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown, in the ultimate bet. With classic songs like Luck Be a Lady and Bushel and a Peck, energetic dance numbers, tons of humor and old fashioned swagger, Guys and Dolls is a crowd pleaser for the whole family!
