  • Varsity Volleyball Season Ends in NCS Playoffs

The Sonoma Academy varsity volleyball team qualified for this year's North Coast Section Playoffs as a 14 seed, which meant they matched up against the number 3 seed San Franscio Waldorf in the first round. This past Tuesday night the Coyotes players and coaches made the trip to San Francisco for the NCS opening round match against the highest quality opponent they would face all season. While the SA varsity girls would go on to lose the match 0-3, the coaches and players should feel proud of what they accomplished this season. With only one senior on this year's roster, the returning players will be able to build on this year's success in the future.
  • Varsity Volleyball Wraps Up Regular Season This Week, Look for NCS Berth

The varsity volleyball team dropped a well-played match at Upper Lake on Tuesday night. Next up the girls will finish regular season play on Thursday when they visit Technology High School in Rohnert Park. The Coyotes will then apply to the NCS Tournament, which begins next week, and hope they are selected as one of the 16 seeds in the Division 5 bracket. If selected the girls will most likely travel for a first round game on Wednesday. More details will come this Sunday when the brackets are released.
  • Varsity Volleyball Wins on Senior Night

The Sonoma Academy Varsity Volleyball team finished the home portion of their season on Tuesday night by defeating Roseland Collegiate Prep on Senior Night. Prior to the match the Coyotes lone senior Sam Hoppe was honored for her commitment and contributions to the SA volleyball program. From that moment on it was good feelings for the Coyotes as every player contributed on the court en route to a three games to zero victory. Next week the varsity volleyball team will finsih their regular season on the road at Upper Lake and Technology before applying to participate in the North Coast Section Playoffs the following week.
