Andre Williams '19 Wins State Cross Country Title

Andre Williams '19 has capped off his incredible senior season by bringing home the big one: Last week, Andre was the winner of the 2018 California Division 5 State Cross Country Championship!

The race, held in Fresno, featured two hundred and fifteen athletes from throughout California. Andre pulled out the win with a time of 15:35.2, besting the second-place runner, Jackson Adelman from St. Margaret's (San Juan Capistrano, CA) by four seconds. Andre and Jackson Adelman were neck-and-neck for most of the race before Andre pulled away for victory. His average pace throughout the race was an incredible five minutes flat! This week, Andre was featured in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat; you can read more about the State meet here and see a complete list of results by division.

Congratulations to Andre and to Cross Country Coach Danny Aldridge!
