Girls Lacrosse Tops Cardinal Newman

Athletic Department Staff
The girls lacrosse team won at Cardinal Newman this past Tuesdany night, outlasting the host Cardinals by a score of 7-5. It was Cardinal Newman who came out fast scoring a goal in the first thirty seconds of play. The SA girls responded in a positive way, composing themselves and executing the game plan to take a 3-1 lead in the first half. From there they would lead the rest of the game, holding off the Cardinal Newman rallies and coming out with the two goal victory. The win moves the girls lacrosse team to 3-3 overall and in the mix for a top 4 finish in the very competitive Vine Valley League. The girls will host Rancho Cotate this coming Tuesday at 4pm, then will host league leading Casa Grande on Friday at 4:30pm, before taking time off for spring break. Come out and support the Coyotes this week!
