Chris Hanna

Chris Hanna is the President of Hanna Winery, with tasting rooms and winery locations in the Alexander Valley and Russian River Valley. She is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Wine Studies Department at Santa Rosa Junior College. Chris is a veteran of non-profit boards, having served as President of the Board of Trustees of the Alexander Valley Unified School District, Treasurer for The Healdsburg School, and two time President of the Sonoma County Vintners, where she served as a board member for ten years. 

Passionate about food, Chris is the author of The Winemaker Cooks: Menus, Parties and Pairings, published by Chronicle Books in 2010, and has taught cooking classes around the country. She holds a BA from New York University and University of the Pacific, and an MA from Manhattanville College. Chris is married to Jake Whiteley, founder of Flying Goat Coffee in Healdsburg and Santa Rosa. Jake now develops luxury hospitality programs in Sonoma and Napa. Chris and Jake live on Healdsburg's Bradford Mountain in the Dry Creek Valley with their Belgian Malinois Layla. They enjoy visits from their son, Brian Whiteley '20 and family dinners with daughter Abby, a teacher at The Healdsburg School.
