Tiernan Colby '23 Sets Empire Record in Win at Prestigious Woodbridge Classic

Tiernan Colby '23 competed at the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic in Irvine last week and broke the all-time Redwood Empire record for a three mile race with his 14:38.2 finish.
The Woodbridge meet attracts many of the top runners from California, the western United States, and even across the country as they compete in over 50 different races.

Colby finished first in a race which featured over 160 runners. He led the race almost the entire way and finished seven seconds ahead of the next runner.

The Woodbridge course is set up for fast times, as it is extremely flat with no changes in elevation. Colby’s time eclipsed the previous fastest Redwood Empire time, which was set last year at the same course.

Congratulations to Tiernan!

Varsity Boys Soccer Start Strong in NCL II League Play

The Coyotes Varsity Boys Soccer team started off league play with a convincing 5-0 win over Technology High and then picked up two 1-1 ties against Calistoga and Roseland Collegiate Prep. The Coyotes are currently 5-1-2 overall and 1-0-2 in NCL II league play.
