Track & Field Athletes Excel at CMC Championships and NCS A Meet

The Coyotes Varsity Track & Field team competed at the CMC Championships in St Helena last weekend and advanced 12 athletes to the NCS A Meet. In addition, the Girls Varsity team captured the league title and the Boys Varsity team was edged by just two points. 

At the meet, Ally Glenn ‘23 broke the school record in the 200 meters. The Coyotes had several athletes who won their events: Athena Ryan ‘24 won the 800, 1600 and 3200 girls, Tiernan Colby ‘23 won the 1600 boys, and Henry Xiao won the 300 hurdles.

At the NCS A meet at Montgomery High, the Coyotes turned in many impressive performances, with several athletes establishing new PRs. Athena Ryan ‘24 (1600, 3200), Tiernan Colby ‘23 (1600, 3200), and August Davis ‘22 (long jump) all qualified for the NCS Meet of Champions.

At the Meet of Champions, Ryan will compete in both the 1600 and 3200, Colby will focus on the 3200, and Davis won't compete due to Intersession travel commitments. The top three qualifiers at the NCS Meet of Champions advance to the State Meet in Clovis later in May.
