Girls Soccer Heading into Final Stretch of League Play
The Coyotes tied Analy 0-0 on Tuesday and travel to league leading Cardinal Newman on Friday for another NBL league matchup.
The Coyotes are currently 10-4-2 overall and in fourth place in the North Bay League. The Coyotes will look to finish the league season strong and expect to earn a spot in the NCS playoffs, which is awarded to the top 16 teams in the NCS.
On Friday, February 7, the Coyotes will celebrate Senior D ay when the host Ukiah at 6:00 pm.

Basketball Teams Enter Final Stretch of the Season
With just two weeks left in the basketball season, the JV boys basketball team continues to improve as individual players and a team, while the Varsity teams are playing in their final games before the NCS playoffs.
Both the boys and girls varsity teams are in second place, with just four games left in NCL 2 league play.
This past week the Varsity boys played host to Roseland University Prep, the top team in the NCL 2, and the Coyotes made a furious run in the final minutes to pull within one point with just over one minute left in the game. The final minute of regulation saw both teams with possession of the ball, and the Coyotes had it with just four seconds left to play, but the final shot missed off the back rim at the buzzer to allow the Knights to escape with the one point victory. Eli Bayer led all scorers on the night with hot shooting from the perimeter, ending with 29 points for Sonoma Academy.
The Varsity girls played one of their best games of the season just before the varsity boys game, connecting on ten three pointers as a team and winning going away, 51-19. This was a crucial game for the Coyotes after losing their previous two league contests, including a loss to league leader Upper Lake.
The JV boys played tough against a suffocating Roseland University Prep defense, and while the Coyotes ended the night on the losing end of the scoreboard, they continue to make positive plays on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
All three teams will be in action again this Friday at Credo, as well as Saturday in San Francisco. The Coyotes return to Sonoma Academy for their next home league games on Tuesday, Feb. 4th against St. Vincent de Paul of Petaluma. Tip times for those games will be 4:30 pm (JV boys), 6:00 pm (Varsity girls), and 7:30 pm (Varsity boys), we hope to see you out supporting the Coyotes!
