Lin is our resident life sciences expert, teaching courses like biology, human anatomy, and genetics & biotechnology. As one of our newest staffulty members, she is enjoying getting to know the school and its rhythms. “I am loving the freedom we have here, and it’s wonderful to be encouraged to really be myself in the classroom,” she says.
Lin received bachelor’s degrees in both Education and Biological Sciences from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia. She started her teaching career at a public school in Perth in 2012, where she taught for five years before moving to the States. She taught in a public school in Florida for several years before heading west to join our staffulty in the Fall of 2019.
As she gets to know Sonoma County, Lin says her top priority is trying out new eateries—“I am a big foodie,” she says. “In fact, my favorite part of the day at SA is finding out what’s on the menu for lunch!” Lin also loves to travel (she’s been to 28 countries and counting) and she is a fierce competitor on the volleyball court.
