Chicago: Teen Edition

Chicago: Teen Edition

November 10 through November 13 in the Fitzsimmons Black Box Theater

Chicago is a timeless tale of ambition, betrayal, and the shameless pursuit of the spotlight, set in the anything-goes atmosphere of the Roaring 20's.

Here’s a bit more about the production from Director Jen Coté:

"Ladies and gentlemen, you are about to see a story of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, lies and treachery—all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts.

So begins the musical Chicago, from the prolifically talented creators John Kander, Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse. There is a reason that Chicago, with its innovative music and dance numbers,  became one of the longest running productions in Broadway history. The story is timeless, and yet continues to gain relevance in this era where our fascination with the personal lives of pop culture celebrities is fed by our ever increasing use of social media, and our personalized access to celebrity trials and tribulations. I love working on a story that feels important to tell, right now, at this moment, and I endeavor to select material that provides an excellent learning platform for young performers and audience members alike. From this perspective, Chicago has it all - challenging music for singers and musicians, strong female leads, and a chance to celebrate dance and the iconic Fosse inspired choreography."

You won't want to miss this tale of murder, publicity, infamy...and all that jazz!
