Bright Star

Bright Star, November 14-17, 2019

Sonoma Academy is proud to present Bright Star, a musical by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, November 14 to November 17 in the Fitzsimmons Black Box Theater.

The moving story features a score influenced by the music of the American South, based on actual events. Set in the 1920's and 1940's, Bright Star follows the plucky heroine Alice Murphy (played by Nina Cauntay '20 and Maya Homicz '21) as she sets off on a journey to understand her past and the fate of a child she lost long ago.

The double-cast production features a live ensemble of student musicians.
