Sonoma Academy is pleased to offer three different sessions of test preparation for the SSAT. The first begins in September, the second in October, and a third just opened for November. All are four weeks in length.  SSAT Prep classes will help prepare you for the SSAT exam for 7th and 8th graders.

What is the SSAT?

The Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) is one of the components of an application to most private/independent schools.  There are two parts of the test, a brief essay, and a multiple choice section that includes:

Mathematics:  2 sections, 30 minutes each with 25 questions each
Reading Comprehension:  30 minutes with 30 synonym questions and 30 analogy questions
Verbal:  40 minutes with 40 questions based on 7 reading passages
Essay:  25 minutes
