How to Apply

Sonoma Academy seeks students who will become active, engaged members of our community of learners.

While we do not set minimum standards for admission, we are looking for students who will be a good fit with our mission, college preparatory programs and community focus. Diversity is a key value at Sonoma Academy: we welcome applications from students of every race, color, nationality, socioeconomic background and ethnic origin.

We consider several factors when assessing candidates for admission: written statements by students and parents, school transcripts, recommendations by counselors and teachers, personal interviews and SSAT scores. No one aspect of a student’s application is more valued than another, however. Our admissions committee is interested in getting to know each candidate as a whole person.

We encourage you to submit your application to us a soon as possible. You may download our application or call (707) 545-1770 to receive a printed application package in the mail.

We welcome your interest in Sonoma Academy.
