Sonoma Academy’s tuition is $24,500 for the academic year. This fee can be paid yearly, bi-yearly or monthly.

40% of SA families receive tuition assistance.

We know this investment is a stretch for some families. That is why we provide generous financial aid. In fact, we give two times more financial aid than other private schools. This allows us to offer an excellent education to talented students from all cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.

The average aid grant covers 60% of tuition.

Financial aid is based on a family’s financial need. It is not a scholarship based on merit, nor is it a loan that needs to be repaid. It is a commitment for as long as the student is enrolled in good-standing and as long as the family continues to demonstrate need.

Financial aid awards can vary greatly—from a few hundred dollars to the full cost of tuition, fees, and books. We have provided a few examples to demonstrate potential assistance awards.

The process is strictly confidential.

Teachers and students never know who is receiving aid; only our financial aid staff does. Applying for financial aid does not affect applications for admission – the two applications are reviewed separately.
